SAN DIEGO, CA - The National Women's Basketball League (NWBL), America's professional women's basketball league, that plays in the spring each year across the country, will open their sixth season February 4 with the San Jose Spiders hosting the San Francisco Legacy.

On December 10th and 11th in San Jose CA, 85 female basketball players representing 25 states in the US, as well as players from Japan and England, attended the NWBL'S National Tryouts. 

The NWBL features some of the best WNBA, International, and former top-level USA collegiate players. Fans each year have been treated to such super-star talent as Olympian Ruth Riley and superstars Becky Hammond, Sheryl Swoopes, Tamika Catchings and many more star players.
