Vancouver's Kevin ‘Pip’ Bloodsaw delivered 26 points in the Rose Garden opener

VANCOUVER VOLCANOES & PORTLAND CHINOOKS KICK OFF 2006 IBL SEASON AT THE ROSE GARDEN [Mar-13-2006] PORTLAND, OR — The International Basketball League’s 2006 season is officially underway with the Baden Perfection™ Elite as their "Official Ball". The Portland Chinooks defeated the Vancouver Volcanoes 109-99 in front of roughly 5,000 fans in the Rose Garden on Sunday. Portland’s Cliff White led all scorers with 27 points. IBL Commissioner Mikal Duilio was pleased with the performance. “It is great that we reached so many fans today, and I am very pleased with how they responded to the game. At the same time, these teams will get much better.
