Baden and Side-Out Foundation Continue Partnership

Steven Hemphill • 15 April 2021

Baden Sports, Inc., is excited to continue it’s partnership as the official ball of The Side-Out Foundation, a Virginia-based non-profit organization dedicated to making a significant and identifiable difference in the lives of breast cancer patients and their families by supporting clinical trials, increasing patient support services and educating communities.

Baden will continue to support and sell a line of indoor, outdoor and novelty volleyballs featuring Side-Out’s Dig Pink® logo and a pink color pattern, representing the international color of breast cancer awareness, as part of the agreement. The volleyballs will be used exclusively in Side-Out events, including high school, college and club matches sponsored by the organization, starting this fall.

“We’re excited to continue working with The Side-Out Foundation and helping raise awareness for such a worthy cause,” said Jake Licht, CEO, Baden Sports. “At Baden, we’ve built our reputation on quality and innovation. We’re confident our volleyballs will provide a consistent, reliable and high-performing experience for participants in Side-Out’s events nationwide, while also serving as a reminder of the organization’s important work.”

The exclusive products will be available online at www.shopdigpink.com and also through Baden’s website, dealers and at select retail outlets.  All proceeds from the sale of these balls will assist in the funding of Side-Out’s research. Specifically, every $2,000 raised through the sale of the balls will help a patient receive Side-Out’s unique report which includes personalized treatment solutions with the expectation of extending their lives.

Baden volleyballs are known for their industry-leading quality, durability and playability. Specific balls to be included in the Side-Out line are Baden’s highest-quality leather and composite game balls – the Perfection® VX5EC, Lexum VX450C, and other premium volleyballs

“Baden is setting the standard when it comes to volleyball, both in terms of product quality and service,” said Rick Dunetz, executive director of The Side-Out Foundation. “We’re confident that participants of all skill levels and abilities will enjoy playing with Baden volleyballs in our Dig Pink® events and are excited to continue our partnership with Baden as we continue our mission to make a difference in the lives of breast cancer patients and their families.”

Baden also provides the official indoor ball to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), as well as to many club and state high school associations across the country.

All Baden volleyball products, including carts and accessories, can be purchased through team dealers, online or at major retailers nationwide. For more information, visit www.badensports.com.

About The Side-Out Foundation

The Side-Out Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 2004 to make a significant and identifiable impact on the lives of metastatic breast cancer patients and their families. The organization takes an innovative approach to provide solutions for those specifically with metastatic breast cancer with the goal of becoming a source of hope for all those living with breast cancer in search of answers and treatment options. Side-Out’s precision medicine research matches patients with treatments and uses the outcome data produced from this to draw conclusions, challenge the standard level of care, and change the trajectory of the disease. To fund this research, the organization builds educational and community-driven programs such as Dig Pink® and the Side-Out Ambassador Program to create advocacy for the metastatic breast cancer community. As both a nonprofit and research organization, The Side-Out Foundation and its supporters work for a future where breast cancer isn’t a terminal diagnosis and anyone receiving a breast cancer diagnosis has hope for more tomorrows.
