Introducing the Baden Basketball All-American Awards

In 1984 Baden Sports created the first ever “intermediate” or women’s basketball. Ever since, the intermediate ball has been adopted and become the standard for women around the world. Baden, a third-generation family-owned company, has always been committed to creating the highest quality sporting goods for every athlete, women included.

Going beyond the ball, Baden is excited to announce the Baden Basketball All-American. A prestigious honor that will recognize the top high school seniors nationally. Players will be chosen by a select committee of scouts, event operators and national media covering every region of the country. Players won’t only be chosen for their skills and accomplishments on the hardwood but, also for their contributions to the community and academic achievements.

Up to 35 players will be recognized with a personalized Baden basketball, an All-American certificate, and have the opportunity to vote for the Baden National Player of the Year. “We wanted to give players an opportunity to cast their vote” says Steven Hemphill, Senior Marketing Manager of Baden Sports. “Our goal with the Baden All-American is to redefine what recognition looks like in women’s basketball. We want to recognize excellence beyond just one “select” tournament.”

First, second and third team Baden All-Americans will be announced the third week of February. Baden All-Americans can then officially vote for the Baden National Player of the Year that will be presented the second week of March 2022.
