SEATTLE BUSINESS MAGAZINE HONORS BARTELL DRUGS
AND 11 VISIONARY ENTERPRISES AT THE 2016 FAMILY BUSINESS AWARDS
SEATTLE (December 7, 2016) — Bartell Drugs, with a century-long presence in Washington state, was named the 2016 Heritage Award winner at the Family Business Awards presented by Seattle Business magazine at the Westin Seattle. The company, which makes a concerted effort to promote local products in its stores while maintaining a history of family involvement in the business, was among 12 honorees recognized for their outstanding stewardship of closely held enterprises.
“Family businesses such as Bartell’s play an important role in maintaining the strength of our economy while also helping to preserve our heritage,” said Leslie Helm, executive editor of Seattle Businessmagazine.
Judges selected gold and silver award honorees in eight categories. The awards program was supported by presenting sponsor Cascadia Capital and supporting sponsors Bader Martin, Chase Commercial Banking and Perkins Coie. The 2016 Family Business Awards honorees are:
