"I am an old guy, high 70s and the last coupla years I have taken up shooting hoops, once my first love, since I can no longer play tennis to the level I am accustomed to. I’m shooting entirely outdoors at various driveways and public parks including a Sunday afternoon trip from my home near Allentown PA to Rucker Park to fire a couple up at the cathedral of playground basketball. I have bought outdoor balls from Spalding and Wilson both acceptable balls. Spalding a little better of the two in my opinion. The Baden outdoor ball is by far the best. Noticeably better than those brands, in grip, bounce, air retention and general feel. The color scheme allows tracking of spin. In my youth I played basketball every day. Was an all county player in central PA and played on the freshman team at Penn State, lettered, and was in the top three in scoring and No. 1 in assists. Even then I preferred the playground to the gym. No AAU then, we made up teams from our playground and traveled to others for evening or weekend games, or hosted. D1 level competition"
