Baden Sports and AVCA Extend Partner Agreement to Beach

January 17, 2019

Lexington, Ky. (January 17, 2019) – The American Volleyball Coaches Association is pleased to announce a three-year agreement with Baden Sports that will make the Beach Elite Volleyball the “Official Beach Volleyball of AVCA” and “Official Beach Volleyball of the AVCA Small College Beach Championships” through 2021. Baden has also been the “Official Court Volleyball of the AVCA” since 2010.

Headquartered in Renton, Wash., Baden leads the volleyball industry by continuing to invest in developing high quality volleyballs for the coaches and athletes that honor the sport. Creating the new Beach Elite Volleyball allows Baden to reach the growing sport of beach volleyball with a product that “combines the best qualities of competitor products,” says Baden Product Line Manager Grayson Williams-Krebs. “We are very proud to release the Beach Elite Volleyball into the marketplace with the backing and support of some of the world’s best beach players and coaches.”

“Baden continues to be a loyal supporter of the AVCA,” said AVCA Executive Director Kathy DeBoer. “As the number of beach programs and scholarships continue to increase, we are excited to have a trusted partner provide great service, communication, and products to athletes at an elite level of the sport.”

AVCA will provide Baden Beach Elite Volleyballs to all NAIA, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III schools with beach programs as well as the AVCA Small College Beach Championship Tournament in April. The 2019 AVCA Convention in Pittsburgh will also showcase Baden volleyballs on all courts.

“As a major player in the volleyball industry, we are anxious to increase our presence in the beach world,” said Richard Scott, Volleyball Division Manager of Baden. “We want to get the Beach Elite Volleyball into the hands of every beach volleyball player. With the help of a great, quality product that everybody loves, we are confident that we can continue make waves in the sport of beach volleyball.”

Baden volleyballs are widely used across all levels of the sport spanning youth to the most prominent universities around the country. Fifteen states have selected Baden as their official ball. Baden’s game balls, carts, and accessories are available for purchase through team dealers and their website. AVCA members should watch their inboxes for membership discounts throughout the year.
