NAIA and Baden Sports Sign Multi-year Partnership

July 12, 2017

Baden Sports will supply the Official Women’s Volleyball of the NAIA beginning this season

Kansas City, July 12, 2017 – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced it has selected Baden Sports to supply the “Official Women’s Volleyball of the NAIA.”

The multiyear partnership requires Baden’s Perfection VX5EC game ball featuring the preferred red, white, and blue color scheme of the NAIA to be used exclusively during all postseason play, beginning fall 2017.

Baden also will supply volleyball carts and accessories for the NAIA women’s championship events and work with the NAIA  to promote NAIA volleyball and the championship events.

“Baden is excited to grow our partnership with the NAIA and to work together to shine a light on the 219 NAIA women's volleyball programs across the country,” said Jake Licht, Chief Operating Officer for Baden Sports. “Baden's mission is to honor the players who put so much into this game by providing the best volleyballs in the world.”

The Perfection VX5EC is Baden’s top-of-the-line game ball, made with full-grain leather tanned for optimal touch and feel. Its internal construction utilizes the lightest butyl bladder ever used for volleyball, a blended cotton wrap, and Baden’s Stealth Soft-Valve System, which reduces the amount of exposed valve rubber, for truer and more consistent play.

Baden will also offer all NAIA programs full-ball customization with nearly limitless color schemes, larger designs, debossed logos, and foiled detailing.

“Baden Sports offers top-of-the-line equipment and the NAIA is proud that this partnership will elevate the volleyball championship experience for our student-athletes,” said Jim Carr, NAIA president and CEO.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Kansas City, Mo., is a governing body of small athletics programs that are dedicated to character-driven intercollegiate athletics. NAIA members provide more than 60,000 student-athletes with opportunities to play college sports, earn $500 million in scholarships and compete in 23 national championships.
