Idaho High Schools Select Baden as Official Ball Supplier

Baden’s top-of-the-line volleyballs and soccer balls to be used exclusively in all postseason play, starting this year

RENTON, Wash. (June 1, 2016)– Baden Sports, Inc., today announced a multi-year agreement with the Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA) to provide the official game balls for volleyball, and boys and girls soccer, beginning with the 2016-17 school year.

Baden’s Perfection® VX5EC volleyball, featuring a blue, white and gray color pattern, and its Elite™ SX751 soccer ball were designated official balls and will be used exclusively in all postseason competitions administered by the IHSAA. Baden, a family-owned company known for creating innovative and high-quality athletic balls, is headquartered in Renton, Wash.

“Being a Northwest company, it’s a great honor for Baden to be selected as an official ball supplier in Idaho,” said Michael Schindler, CEO, Baden Sports. “We’re looking forward to deepening our connections with coaches and administrators across the state, and are eager to put Baden balls into play when and where the games matter most.”

The Perfection® VX5EC is Baden’s top-of-the-line game volleyball, constructed with full-grain, pre-sorted leather tanned for optimum touch and feel. It also features Baden’s Stealth Soft-Valve System™ for consistency and balance, a blended cotton wrap to ensure shape retention, and a specially formulated adhesive to prevent panels from peeling.

The Elite™ SX751, meanwhile, is Baden’s highest-quality offering for soccer. Made from premium, hand-sewn microfiber, it features a Cross Panel Lamination™ process for superior touch and consistency in the air or on the ground, and comes with Rainshield™ technology, which prevents water absorption and ensures playability in all types of weather.

Baden will provide one of the adopted balls to each volleyball, boys soccer, and girls soccer program, at every IHSAA-member school as a free introduction.

“Baden is known for making quality, high-performing balls that last. That, coupled with their proximity to our schools and familiarity with the region, made them the right choice for our association,” said Ty Jones, IHSAA Executive Director. “We’re excited to be working with Baden and look forward to continuing our partnership with them for years to come.”

Baden also provides the official volleyball to many other state high school associations and club programs nationwide, and is the official court volleyball of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Top college coaches endorsing Baden volleyballs include Penn State’s Russ Rose and USC’s Mick Haley.

All of Baden’s athletic balls, as well as carts and accessories, can be purchased through team dealers, online or at select retailers nationwide. For more information, visit www.badensports.com.
