Baden’s premium leather and microfiber game volleyballs to be used exclusively in championship tournaments

RENTON, Wash. (Nov. 18, 2015) – Baden Sports, Inc., today announced it has been selected to provide the official ball to the Palmetto Region of USA Volleyball, whose more than 40 member clubs operate throughout South Carolina. The multi-year adoption designates Baden’s Perfection® VX5EC and Lexum VX450C – the company’s highest-quality leather and microfiber game balls, respectively – as the official balls to be used exclusively in Palmetto Region championship tournaments. “We’re excited to provide the official ball to the Palmetto Region and look forward to more and more players experiencing the Baden advantage,” said Matt Holm, Vice President of Business Development, Baden Sports. “We’re also eager to introduce club directors to our new customization program, which dramatically expands the custom options typically available within the industry.” Baden’s new custom program, introduced earlier this year, provides point-of-production customization, enabling a greater range of options, including bigger designs, debossed logos and foiled detailing; each of a volleyball’s 18 panels could even be made a different color. And because Baden now owns the factory in the Dominican Republic where its game volleyballs have been manufactured for more than 25 years, custom balls can be produced with lead times as short as 45 days with minimum orders as low as six balls. “Baden’s ability to deliver in all of the areas that are important to our membership – quality, performance, customization and service – make them an ideal partner,” said Jimmy Peden, Palmetto Region, Executive Director. “We’re looking forward to expanding our relationship with them in the years ahead.” Baden’s Perfection® VX5EC volleyball is the company’s flagship leather game ball, constructed with full-grain, pre-sorted leather for optimum touch and feel. The Lexum VX450C volleyball, meanwhile, is Baden’s premium microfiber game ball with a tackified cover for a softer feel and exceptional performance. Both balls feature Baden’s Stealth Soft-Valve System™ for maximum consistency and playability, a blended cotton wrap to ensure shape retention, and a specially formulated adhesive to prevent panels from peeling. Baden also provides the official volleyball to many state high school associations and club programs nationwide, and is the official court volleyball of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Top college coaches endorsing Baden volleyballs include Penn State’s Russ Rose and USC’s Mick Haley. Baden’s new product offerings this year include two re-designed volleyball carts – the Perfection Hammock Cart, which can hold more than 30 balls, and the Perfection Portable Cart, which can hold more than 24 balls. Both carts feature tempered aluminum alloy frames and nylon bags with reinforced seams for strength and durability, as well as clear, non-marking rollerblade wheels for easy maneuverability. Both come with an unprecedented, three-year guarantee. All of Baden’s volleyball products, including accessories, can be purchased through team dealers, online or at major retailers nationwide.
