SOCCER BALL SIZE CHART
|Age||Soccer Ball Size|
|Ages 8 and under||
|Ages 13 and up||
|All ages (or toddler/preschool age)||
Players ages 8 and under should use a junior size 3 ball. It’s critical we give younger players the right size ball. If we give them a ball that is too big for their feet or too heavy for their legs, they are more prone to injuries and won’t have the success of kicking or dribbling a ball. We want to make sure to create a fun environment for these beginners!
Players ages 8-12 should use a youth size 4 soccer ball. At age 8, kids now have the developed strength, skill, and size to handle the size 4.
Players ages 13 and up should use an official size 5 soccer ball. Goals and fields become official size at age 13 play, so the ball follows the same progression.
All ages can use a size 1 skills ball. This ball is used by toddlers and preschool aged children being introduced to the sport, as well as elite players developing their foot skills.
